Read this first: about the Jayflyer Community, and the rules

Hi everyone, Jason here.

The Jayflyer Community is a place to talk Canadian points, miles, and hotels, plus the money side of all that: personal finance, investing, and retirement planning.

The blog is where the polished reviews and card guides live.

This board is for the lighter, more personal stuff: data points (DPs) as they happen, things I'm going through right now, and posts that get updated as results come in.

How it works right now

• I'm still writing the posts myself. Posting opens to members soon.
• Anyone can comment. All you need is a name and an email, and your comment shows up once I've approved it.
• There's a separate Korean board. When a post goes up in both languages, the two link to each other at the top.

The rules

There aren't many.

1. Be respectful. Disagreeing is fine. Insisting you're right with nothing to back it up isn't.
2. Skip the "thanks in advance" and share how it went. Got an answer? Come back and tell us what happened. That's what helps the next person most.
3. Keep personal info out. Passport numbers, booking references, boarding passes, home address, phone number. Double-check your screenshots before posting (a boarding pass barcode contains your booking reference).
4. Don't brag about or push loopholes that cross the line. Banks and hotels read boards like this too.
5. No personal referral links in posts or comments. Instead, we're building a referral rotation so members can share links fairly. Details are in the referral link policy.
6. Once a post has comments, edit it instead of deleting it. Just remove the sensitive part. Deleting the whole post wipes out the time people spent answering.
