- Register, then earn a D$50 bonus for each direct-booked stay of 2+ nights at 482 participating Minor Hotels properties.
- Book between September 24 and November 30, 2026, and check out by January 31, 2027.
- D$1 is worth US$1, but the bonus D$ expire six months after they're issued.
- Only one hotel in Korea takes part: Avani Central Busan. There are 26 in Thailand.
I stayed at Avani Central Busan on September 20 and paid most of the room with DISCOVERY Dollars. D$100 covered KRW 136,746 of a KRW 158,400 bill, so I've seen first-hand what GHA's currency is worth.
Four days later, GHA launched a D$50 bonus for stays at Minor Hotels. My Busan night wouldn't have qualified, but a lot of stays this fall will.
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Bonus | D$50 per stay (D$1 = US$1) |
| Minimum stay | 2 consecutive nights |
| Register and book | September 24 to November 30, 2026 |
| Check out by | January 31, 2027 |
| Hotels | 482 Minor Hotels properties |
| Book | Direct only |
How the D$50 works
Register on GHA's promo page first. Bookings and stays made before you register don't count, and neither do bookings made before September 24.
Each stay of at least two nights in a row earns D$50 on top of your normal D$. There's no cap on the number of stays, but back-to-back stays at the same hotel count as one, and so do multiple rooms on one booking.
You need to book direct: GHA's website or app, the brand sites (Anantara, Avani, NH, Tivoli, Oaks) or the hotel itself. OTA bookings, award stays and "other discounted rates" are excluded.
Which hotels take part
Minor Hotels brands are on the list: Anantara, Avani, NH, NH Collection, nhow, Tivoli, Oaks, iStay and Colbert Collection. By my count of GHA's list, that's 482 hotels, most of them NH hotels in Europe.
In Asia, it's thinner:
- Korea: only Avani Central Busan
- Thailand: 26 hotels, including Anantara Siam and Anantara Riverside in Bangkok
- Maldives: 9 hotels
- Japan: none
What D$ are worth
GHA's currency is simple: D$1 = US$1.
You earn 4% to 7% of your room spend back depending on your tier, and you can spend D$ on your folio during a stay, from D$10 at a time.
In Busan, my D$100 came off as KRW 136,746 on the folio. D$ can't pay for taxes, tips or fees, which is why a small part of the bill was left.
The catch with this promo is the expiry. Bonus D$ expire six months after they're issued, much sooner than regular D$ (12 to 24 months depending on tier), so plan to use them.
Past GHA DISCOVERY promotions
GHA's promos are usually a fixed D$ bonus or 2X D$ in one region, almost always with registration and a two-night direct stay. I'll add each new one here.
| Dates | Promo | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Book Sep 24 to Nov 30, 2026 | D$50 at Minor Hotels | 2+ nights, stays to Jan 31, 2027 |
| Sep 2 to Oct 31, 2026 | D$50,000 giveaway | Prize draw, plus D$50 for a 2-night stay at a GHA brand new to you in 2026 |
| Stays to Aug 31, 2026 | 2X D$ in Asia, Oceania and Africa | Register, book direct |
| Stays to May 31, 2026 | Up to D$825, multi-brand | 2-night direct stays at different brands |
Is it worth it?
If you're heading to Bangkok, the Maldives or Europe this fall and a Minor hotel works, yes. D$50 on a two-night stay is a good return on a free registration.
I wouldn't go out of my way for it in Korea, since Busan is the only option.
And I'd put a reminder in my calendar to spend the bonus before it expires.
Do you have any Minor Hotels stays planned? Let me know in the comments where.
