Aeroplan Hotel Promotions: Save 10,000 Points on Hotels and Car Rentals

Aeroplan's hotel and car rental booking portal, HotelSavers, runs promotions from time to time. This round takes 10,000 points off hotel and car rental redemptions until the end of September.

Enter promo code WWSS26 at checkout on any hotel or car rental booking of 50,000 points or more, and 10,000 points come off. Book by September 30, 2026.

Flights are still the better use of Aeroplan points most of the time, but a discount at checkout narrows the gap. If you've been looking for other ways to use your points, or you haven't found good hotel options for your destination, it's worth a look.

The fine print worth knowing:

• It combines with the cardholder 4th night free, but not with any other promotion.
• You need enough points for the full price before the code comes off.
• If you cancel after September 30, you lose the code, and changing the booking after that date can cost you the code too.

How to use it

1. Go to Aeroplan's hotel search or car rental search on aircanada.com.
2. Find a stay that prices at 50,000 points or more.
3. Sign in with your Aeroplan account, then enter WWSS26 at checkout.
4. Make sure the total drops by 10,000 points before you confirm.

Does it stack with the 4th night free?

Yes. If you have an Aeroplan co-brand credit card, every 4th night on a points-only hotel stay is free through December 31, 2026.

Aeroplan's terms for WWSS26 say it can be combined with the 4th night free, and it worked when I tried it. While writing this, I priced 4 nights in October at the same Bangkok hotel I stayed at in May:

That's about 40% off the full price. For comparison, booking the same room and dates directly with Accor costs CA$709.02 at the member rate (CA$746.34 public), refundable with breakfast included.

That puts the 41,900-point booking at about 1.7 cpp. Booking direct would also earn Accor points and elite nights, which HotelSavers doesn't.

The cards that get it include the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite (the one I have) and the CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite.

My experience with HotelSavers

In May, I booked 4 nights at Novotel Living Bangkok Sukhumvit Legacy through HotelSavers. I was looking for a hotel with a tennis court so I could play with friends, and this one has its own, which is what caught my eye.

It came to 40,650 points for May 21 to 25, 2026, with the 4th night free but no promo code. Accor's own site had the same room for THB 11,226 that night during a member sale, about CA$473, so I got only about 1.2 cents per point (cpp).

In hindsight, that's not a great redemption. I'd only book this way again with a code on top, like the October example above.

The hotel itself was a nice surprise. The room was bigger than I expected and even had a washing machine, so it felt closer to a serviced apartment than a hotel room. The location was great too.

What I didn't expect was the service. Third-party bookings like this usually don't come with elite perks, but the staff still recognized my Accor Gold status and gave me a late checkout, plus an extra hour on the tennis court as a goodwill gesture.

I didn't earn any Accor points or qualifying nights, of course. One more bonus: the hotel's restaurant, El Santo, gives in-house guests 10% off and Accor+ Explorer members 30% off, so we grabbed lunch there after tennis.

Is this a good promotion?

Premium-cabin flights are still where Aeroplan points go furthest, and I value them at 2 cpp. A hotel redemption can still make sense when another program covers your flight or the numbers line up, but you have to run the math yourself for every stay.

Here's how my October example breaks down against Accor's refundable member rate with breakfast, CA$709.02:

At about 1 cpp before any discount, this is a redemption I'd normally skip. The cardholder free night and the code together take it to about 1.7 cpp, which is close enough to flight value to take seriously.

The flat 10,000 points does the most on smaller bookings. After the free night, this stay still cost 51,900 points, so the code was worth about 19%, and it shrinks as the booking gets bigger:

The value also swings a lot from one property to the next, and it takes a bit of digging to find one that prices well on points. Compare the cash price for the same room and dates before you book. And keep in mind that you won't earn hotel points or elite nights on a HotelSavers booking.

When I'd actually use it

• You hold an Aeroplan credit card and you're booking 4 nights or more. This is where it shines.
• Your stay lands just over 50,000 points.
• Another program is covering your flight, or you can't find award space for the trip you want.
• You have a small or leftover balance and no flight in mind.
