This is TD's no-fee cash back card for small businesses, built around the bills a small operation actually pays: 2% back on gas and EV charging, public transit, office supplies, and recurring bills plus streaming and digital media. I'd point it at a sole proprietor or small team that banks with TD, runs a vehicle and a stack of monthly subscriptions, and wants free cards with spend controls.
What I'd flag is the 0.5% on everything else and the $15,000 yearly cap on each 2% bucket. TD also says changes are coming to the card without saying what they are, so I'd check before committing a business's spending to it.
Welcome offer
TD's product page showed no welcome offer for this card when it was checked on October 13, 2026: no bonus cash back, no intro rate and no first-year rebate, which matters less on a card with no annual fee. Confirm the current offer on TD's page before you apply, since business card offers come and go.
The same page carries a banner saying changes are coming to the TD Business Cash Back Visa Card. Its Learn more link led to TD's not-found page, so the nature and timing of the changes are not known yet.
With no offer to time, the reason to apply is the ongoing 2% categories. If the announced changes matter to you, check TD's page or call TD at 1-800-680-5767 before applying.
Fees & eligibility
The card has a $0 annual fee, and additional cards are also $0. TD prints no income or revenue minimum: you must be a Canadian resident of the age of majority in your province or territory. The business and its owners are jointly and severally liable for all charges on each TD business card account.
Purchases carry a 19.99% interest rate and cash advances 22.99%, and TD treats balance transfers as cash advances. The foreign transaction fee is not printed on the product page. A carried balance at 19.99% costs far more than 2% returns, so pay in full each month.
Earning rewards
The card earns 2% in Cash Back Dollars in four buckets: gas and EV charging, public transit, office supplies, and recurring bill payments together with streaming, digital gaming and media. Everything else earns 0.5%, with no cap.
Each 2% bucket stops at $15,000 in spending a year, then drops to 0.5%. The categories follow Visa merchant category codes, so a store that sells office supplies or fuel but is classified differently earns 0.5%. Recurring bills count when a merchant charges the card automatically with your consent and Visa classes the charge as a recurring bill payment.
Redeeming rewards
Cash Back Dollars are credited automatically once a year as a statement credit to the account balance, and they never expire while the account is open and in good standing. The first earnings period runs from your first purchase until the account's November billing cycle of the following year; after that, each annual period starts with the December billing cycle.
The product page describes no on-demand redemption, so expect one credit a year rather than cash when you want it.
Perks & benefits
The most useful business feature is the Card Management Tool, which gives online reporting, expense review, credit limit management and spend controls for the cards on the account. Link the card to Visa SavingsEdge for free to get cashback offers on business expenses such as gas, restaurants and business services.
The card also saves at least 10% off base rates at participating Avis and Budget locations in Canada and the U.S. (at least 5% internationally), and eligible TD cards get a free 6-month Uber One trial and more Starbucks Stars when linked. There is no travel credit or lounge access.
Insurance
The insurance covers purchases only. Purchase security covers most eligible new items bought with the card against theft or damage for 90 days, and extended warranty doubles a manufacturer's warranty valid in Canada by up to 12 extra months. Both sit under a $60,000 lifetime limit per account holder across all of their TD credit cards.
There is no travel, rental car or mobile device insurance. TD sells travel medical, trip cancellation and trip interruption cover as optional extras.
My take
I'd get this card if your business spends steadily on fuel, office supplies and monthly subscriptions and wants free employee cards; if most of your spending falls outside those buckets, I'd skip it.
What I like is that the 2% buckets match small-business costs better than most cash back cards, and $0 additional cards with spend controls make it easy to hand cards to staff. Fifteen thousand dollars of yearly spending in each bucket is room enough for most small operations.
The 0.5% base rate is the weak spot. Compared with RBC's no-fee Business Cash Back Mastercard, which pays a flat 1% up to $650 a year, this card only comes out ahead if a good share of your spending lands in the 2% buckets. The missing welcome offer and the unexplained changes banner would make me check TD's page again before applying.
The good
- 2% on gas and EV charging, transit, office supplies, and recurring bills and streaming
- No annual fee, and additional cards are free
- Card Management Tool with spend controls and Visa SavingsEdge offers
The catch
- Only 0.5% on everything outside the 2% buckets
- Each 2% bucket capped at $15,000 a year; cash back paid once a year
- No welcome offer listed, and TD's announced changes are not explained
