This is TD's answer for a business owner who flies Air Canada and wants Aeroplan points from company spending without an income test. The earn rates are modest, but the card brings the Aeroplan basics that matter on a work trip: a free first checked bag for up to 9 people, Maple Leaf Lounge passes earned with spend, and status credits toward Aeroplan Elite.
Two things stand out to me for a business card. The purchase rate is 14.99%, well below most rewards cards, and the first-year rebate covers two employee cards as well as yours. The weak spots are a welcome bonus that needs $25,000 for the full amount and travel medical that stops at 4 days for anyone 65 or older.
Welcome offer
TD is advertising up to 60,000 Aeroplan points on the Aeroplan Visa Business, effective September 1, 2026 and verified on October 13, 2026. You earn 10,000 points for a first purchase, 30,000 for $15,000 in purchases within 180 days, and 20,000 more for $25,000 within 365 days. The first-year annual fee rebate covers you and the first two additional cards, as long as you add them while the offer is running.
Only the Individual Borrower (the person who applied) earns the points, and the offer is not available if you opened any TD Aeroplan Visa account in the past 12 months. Aeroplan may also withhold bonus points if you have already received a welcome bonus on an Aeroplan card of the same type. TD prints no end date, so confirm the current offer on the issuer's page before applying.
The tiers lean on volume: $15,000 in 180 days for the big tier and $25,000 in a year for the full 60,000. Add your two employee cards early, since their first-year fees are only rebated while the offer is in effect.
Fees & eligibility
The card costs $149 a year, and additional cards are $49 each. Under the current offer, TD rebates the first-year fee for you and the first two additional cards, which must be added while the offer is in effect; the rebate appears within two statements. From year two, and for a third or later additional card, the full fees apply.
TD lists no income or revenue minimum: you must be a Canadian resident of the age of majority. Purchases carry a 14.99% interest rate and cash advances 22.99%. The business and its owners are responsible for every transaction on accounts in the business name, including additional cardholders' charges. No foreign transaction fee waiver is listed.
Earning rewards
Purchases made directly with Air Canada, including Air Canada Vacations, earn 2 Aeroplan points per dollar, and so do stays at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts (through July 15, 2029). A broad band earns 1.5 points per dollar: travel and transit, dining, EV charging, and business services such as shipping, internet, cable and phone.
Everything else earns 1 point per dollar. The 2x and 1.5x rates share an $80,000 annual limit (Hyatt has its own $80,000 limit), after which purchases earn 1x. Primary cardholders who link World of Hyatt also collect 1 Hyatt bonus point per dollar at participating hotels.
Redeeming rewards
Aeroplan is an airline program, so the value depends on the trip. Every Air Canada seat for sale can be booked with points, with no blackout periods, and Points + Cash lets you cover part of a fare. For scale, TD's own offer math values Aeroplan points at 2 cents per point (cpp) for flights, based on what most of its cardholders received between November 2020 and September 2026.
Points also cover hotels, car rentals, merchandise and gift cards, usually at lower value than flights. Combining this card's points with a personal TD Aeroplan card helps a business owner reach a redemption sooner.
Perks & benefits
The airline benefits carry most of the value. The primary business cardholder, additional cardholders and up to 8 companions on the same reservation each get a free first checked bag on Air Canada. Every $10,000 in net purchases earns a Maple Leaf Lounge one-time guest pass, up to 4 a year, usable in Canadian and U.S. lounges, and every $20,000 earns 1,000 Status Qualifying Credits, up to 25,000 a year.
The rest is useful for frequent business travel: a NEXUS fee rebate up to $100 every 48 months (additional cardholders included), Avis Preferred Plus and Hertz Five Star status for the primary cardholder, and Avis and Budget discounts. The TD Card Management Tool adds reporting, credit limit management and spend controls. There is no foreign transaction fee waiver.
Insurance
Travel medical pays up to $2 million per person for the first 15 days of a trip under 65, but only the first 4 days at 65 or older. Pre-existing conditions must be stable for 90 days before you leave (180 days at 65 and older), and you must call the administrator at the start of an emergency or the benefit drops to $30,000. Trip cancellation pays up to $1,500 per person ($5,000 per trip) and trip interruption up to $5,000 ($25,000), when at least 75% of the trip is paid with the card or Aeroplan points.
Flight delays of 4 hours pay up to $500, delayed or lost bags up to $1,000 per person, and hotel burglary up to $2,500. Rentals get collision and loss damage cover for up to 48 days on vehicles with an MSRP up to $65,000. Purchases are covered for 90 days with warranties extended by up to 12 months ($60,000 lifetime), and mobile devices up to $1,000.
My take
I'd get this card if your business flies Air Canada and can spend $15,000 in six months; I'd skip it if you need strong medical cover past 65 or you rarely fly.
For a business owner, the pitch is cost and airline basics. The fee is rebated in year one for three cards, the 14.99% purchase rate is low for a rewards card, and free bags for up to 9 travellers plus lounge passes earned with spend make Air Canada trips cheaper. Compared with TD's personal Aeroplan Visa Infinite at $139, you pay $10 more but skip the $60,000 income test.
The earning is ordinary at 1x on most purchases, and the full 60,000 points need $25,000 in a year. The 4-day medical limit at 65 is a real gap for older owners. If the bags and lounge passes fit how your team travels, I think it earns its fee; if not, a cash back or flexible points card will do more.
The good
- First-year fee rebate for you and two employee cards
- Free first checked bag for up to 9 on Air Canada
- 14.99% purchase rate, lower than most rewards cards
The catch
- 1x on most purchases, bonus rates capped at $80,000
- Full welcome bonus needs $25,000 in a year
- Travel medical only 4 days at 65 or older
